We are getting a Temp Fail message occasionally on IP Phones. I've seen some threds out there referecing that this is an issue with the RTP stream, but does anyone know how to troubleshoot the issue? I've looked at our network and haven't seen any issues. I've turned trace logging up to "detail", but haven't found much in the logs.

Its not an issue with the RTP stream, but rather the "signalling" of that call.
Have you been able to narrow it down to any specific types of calls? For example, IP Phone > IP Phone calls, conference calls, IP Phone > Gateway calls, or IP Phone > Unity calls?

It's calls coming into our network as well as outbound calls. IP Phone to IP Phone seem to work fine.

Are you potentially having any high CPU utilization on your gateway? Speed/Duplex issues between voice gateway and the switch?

I didn't see any. That is originally what I thought.
