Recording levels for Wav files in Scripts

I have a customer who has access to professional recording studio and they were asking at what levels they should use for recording and if there are any other specs to be aware of.

Re: Recording levels for Wav files in Scripts

You should record any wave files in the format CCITT u-law, 8 kHz, 8-bit, Mono.

For recording level, I believe below 60db is considered as satisfactory for telephone use. If you go above 60 db, telephone use becomes difficult or unsatisfactory.

Thanks !!
