Recording Phone Calls

Hello,

We have a requirement to record calls on our 79xx series phones, thats a no brainer however is the a desktop based application thaty could record the calls ?

so rather than use spanning to a dedicated server have an agent on the desktop that records the calls and can store them on a central server ??

Regards

Scott.

Re: Recording Phone Calls

Are you running IPCC Express, or do you need to record phone calls for all IP phones?

Re: Recording Phone Calls

Not Using IPCC Express , we are however using IPCC Enterprise , So we need to record those phones and non IPCC phones.

If that makes sense ??

Re: Recording Phone Calls

If you have Unity, you can use Unity Live Record. Basically, you setup Unity with a new pilot number, conference Unity in, it starts to record to the call, then sends it to the subscriber that logged in. It's not as smooth as a simple button, but works.

Re: Recording Phone Calls

We just looked into TELREX today it is a great system, you install it on pretty much any windows server or workstation at the main site, install a branch office at the remote site and sync the to everynight, its only about 250 per seat, You still have to span a port but it much more flexible. so complared to Ciscos Desktop recording solution, IP Celerate, Cestara, and DSS it is much better and cheaper, the size of the files are very small and 1 gig of files is something like 60 hours of recording time, Check it out a www.telrex.com, you can contact Gary Petley at www.iscinc.net 307-262-6494 and tell them I sent you and he can get you a good price for it.
