Re: remote sites dial their pri lines

just so i have this right,

you have 2 remote sites that connect to a ccm cluster at a main site.

you want those 2 remote sites to use the gateways they have locally for their calls instead of going out gateways from the main site?

if this is the case, then it is pretty straight forward.

what you'll need to do is to create new Partitions at least for the remote sites so that you can create new routePatterns to use the appropriate Partition.

(i create CSSs and PTs specific to each site so as to be able to create a full heirarchy of the dialPlan)

for example -

HQ - chicago - PRIs and FXOs locally configured (413 area code)

site1 - newYork - PRIs and FXOs locally configured (202 area code)

site2 - losAngeles - PRIs and FXOs locally configured (310 area code)

CSSs -

CSS_HQ - PT_HQ; PT_NY; PT_LA; PT_HQ_LOC; PT_HQ_LD; PT_HQ_911; PT_HQ_9911

(HQ ip phones belong in the PT_HQ partition)

CSS_NY - PT_NY; PT_HQ; PT_LA; PT_NY_LOC; PT_NY_LD; PT_NY_911; PT_NY_9911

(NY ip phones belong in the PT_NY partition)

CSS_LA - PT_LA; PT_HQ; PT_NY; PT_LA_LOC; PT_LA_LD; PT_LA_911; PT_LA_9911

(LA ip phones belong in the PT_LA partition)

gateways -

HQ - RL_HQ_GW (gateways local to hq)

NY - RL_NY_GW (gateways local to ny)

LA - RL_LA_GW (gateways local to la)

routePatterns -

HQ:

9.[2-9]xxxxxx - PT_HQ_LOC; GW/RL = RL_HQ_GW

9.1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx - PT_HQ_LD; GW/RL = RL_HQ_GW

9.911 - PT_HQ_9911; GW/RL = RL_HQ_GW

911 - PT_HQ_911; GW/RL = RL_HQ_GW

9.1202xxxxxxx - PT_HQ; GW/RL = RL_NY_GW (tollBypass to ny)

9.1310xxxxxxx - PT_HQ; GW/RL = RL_LA_GW (tollBypass to la)

NY:

9.[2-9]xxxxxx - PT_NY_LOC; GW/RL = RL_NY_GW

9.1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx - PT_NY_LD; GW/RL = RL_NY_GW

9.911 - PT_NY_9911; GW/RL = RL_NY_GW

911 - PT_NY_911; GW/RL = RL_NY_GW

9.1413xxxxxxx - PT_NY; GW/RL = RL_HQ_GW (tollBypass to hq)

9.1310xxxxxxx - PT_NY; GW/RL = RL_LA_GW (tollBypass to la)

LA:

9.[2-9]xxxxxx - PT_LA_LOC; GW/RL = RL_LA_GW

9.1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx - PT_LA_LD; GW/RL = RL_LA_GW

9.911 - PT_LA_9911; GW/RL = RL_LA_GW

911 - PT_LA_911; GW/RL = RL_LA_GW

9.1413xxxxxxx - PT_LA; GW/RL = RL_HQ_GW (tollBypass to hq)

9.1202xxxxxxx - PT_LA; GW/RL = RL_NY_GW (tollBypass to ny)

the above provides all three sites with their own CSS and Partitions as well as defines the gateways for each site.

this is a basic configuration and may not fit your needs exactly as there is much more manipulation of the dialPlan if it's required.

routePatterns are created for each site to offer all sites access to their local gateways for local and longDistance calls. there are also routePatterns for tollBypass.

(an NY (202) user can call an LA (310) number for free via the LA gateway)

NOTE: the use of two 911 partitions, PT_911 & PT_9911 allows for routePatterns to be created that have 'provide outside dial tone' disabled for the 911 pattern, as this would step on the patterns that begin with '9.' that require an outside dial tone if it were not disabled (since there is not preDot digit); resulting in the outside dial tone being played after the first number after the initial 9 is pressed.

Re: remote sites dial their pri lines

first of all thanks it is very helpfull for me.

i have three sites but gateways are located only 2 sites and at third site there is only call manager. wht i understood is i need to creat route pattern for each gateway separtely and then attach the gateway to that route pattern.
