Remote voicemail access

When I call remotely to access voicemail I have to enter another key to actually access my mailbox. I want to call my main number and not my dedicated voicemail line. When I call the main number and press x + ext I have to enter another key to get to my box. If not then i get to leave a message press 1. Is this normal or do I need to check my config?

Re: Remote voicemail access

Yes, this is normal.

If you want to be prompted for your userid and password as soon as you are transferred to Unity, you can setup a Call Routing rule that sends you to Sign In.

To do this:

1) Got Call Routing -> Direct calls

2) Click Add (blue plus in upper right)

3) Name the rule (eg Sign In)

4) Change "Send Call To" to Sign In

5) Save (blue floppy in upper right)

6) Change the rule order so that the new rule is AFTER Attempt Sign-in but BEFORE Default Call Handler

7) Repeat steps 2-6 for the Forwarded Calls link on the left side.

Im also assuming you are using Unity for voicemail.
