Hi:

I have many end users, who after our go live, do not wish to have the voice mail attachment to their Outlook. I understand that is the benefit of UM however most people to not wish this feature in our org.

What is the most simple, yet correct, way to do this _after_ an install and go live?

Thanks,
Erik

Erik L. The users would rather have their voice mail that comes into their Outlook application disabled. They do not want to hear their voice mail through their computer but rather have it only through their phone not as wav files in their MS Outlook.

So what you want is to create these folks as Voice Mail only subscribers. You will have to delete them from Unity and add them back in again as new subscribers. You cannot import them. Since we use Exchange as the place to store all messages, this will create new mailboxes for them. You will need to make sure that the alias is different. The newly created subscribers will show up in the Exchange GAL. You can hide them from the GAL is you want. If you hide them in Exchange, there are some registry changes to be done on Unity.
Not if they want MWI on the phones. Unity depends upon the subscriber's Exchange inbox for enabling/disabing MWI. If you hide or move those messages, it will probably happen before Unity trucks out to the Exchange inbox to see the new voice mails.
