Does anybody know whether the 1700 performs packet reordering on the arrival of voice packets? I have a situation in which the number of lost packets is really low, but the Early and Late Packets increse continuously. The statistics for Gap Filled with Silence and Gap Filled with Prediction increases very much too. In numbers, after 15 minutes of conversation:
Lost Packets: 23
Early Packets: 640
Late Packets: 621
GapFillWithSilence: 1360 ms
GapFillWithPrediction: 9500 ms
GapFillWithInterpolation: 0 ms
There's a document about QoS on the Cisco site that tells that reordering is done, but some lines bellow the document tells that the supported platforms are 2600 and up (see http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios121/121newft/121t/121t5/dt_pod.htm).
Thank you for any input.
Paulo.
