Replacing 7960 with 7970

Does anyone know if there is documentation on the correct procedure for upgrading someone's phone from a 7960 to a 7970? Specifically, how to transfer any speed dial, etc, customization from the old phone to the new phone? We are curently running CallManager 4.0(1), but will be upgrading to 4.1(3) next week sometime. Thanks.

Re: Replacing 7960 with 7970

Ben,

You cannot replace these in the CCM GUI to my knowledge. They are stored in a SQL table with the tkModel column stating the device type. Other phone specific settings are set in the XML column. I wouldn't recommend manually adjusting these. If you want the 7960 settings use BAT and do a phone export. The phone export will even include speed dials. From there you can BAT the 7970 back in or do manually.
