Restricting Codecs using MGCP

Is there a way to restrict the type of codecs that a 2524 will send in a call setup message to a media gateway controller using MGCP.

Currently it is sending 7 options. All that I want it to send back is just G711 and G729r8.

I looked at the mgcp codec command but that is setting the default codec and not setting the available codecs.

all IOS gateways (incl 2421) send entire list of codec to the CA if the local conn options does not specify a codec. You cannot restrict this via command line
