Restricting Trunk to Trunk Transfers

Customer has Cisco IPT end-to-end and would like to know how we prevent an internal user from transferring an outside call to another outside line.

I'm stumped. I am NOT talking about forwarding calls, as you well know can be restricted with the CSS's. I am talking about the user using the softkey to transfer a call. From what I gather, even in the CTI layer, CM doesn't distinguish between a consult transfer and an outbound call, so I'd guess that there isn't a way (yet). I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

A similar discussion has been on the boards at: http://forums.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Ddisplay_location%26location%3D.ee8bb2a

As far as I know, this is possible through CSS. May be someone can confirm this.

Re: Restricting Trunk to Trunk Transfers

It's still not possible to restrict a user from transferring a call to an external party (or anyone that their line is allowed to call based on thier CSS).

You can prevent auto call forwards but not transfers.
