In 2.4.X, subscriber's voice names are streamed from Exchange. When they are recorded, they are stored in the Exchange directory, so when Unity plays them back, it'll go back out and get them. Even if the subscriber's home message store is on Exchange server outside of Unity, Unity should search the directory of the local Exchange server.
Can you try to get the voice name to play (and get the delay) in other areas besides leaving a message? You could try a spell-by-name directory search or set the subscriber to have "greet-by-name" turned on and have them sign into their box.
This might help to see if the delay occurs when streaming the name all the time.

In all other instances of Unity playing back the recorded name there is not noticable pause. This is the only instance. Is there any difference in this process?
Thanks,
Erik
