When a user is sending a message and then reviews the message there is a long pause while Unity lists who the message is being sent to. <br><br>1. User selects "2" to send a message<br>2. User enters DN of message recipient<br>3. User records message<br>4. User selects "1" after recording of message for message options<br>5. User selects "4" for review of message<br>6. User hears long pause before Unity lists message recipient<br><br>I ave checked to make sure that recorded name has no white space in front of name. When selecting message recipient there is no pause when playing recorded name.<br><br>What is causing this pause and can it be reduced.<br><br>Thanks,<br>Erik<br><br>
In 2.4.X, subscriber's voice names are streamed from Exchange. When they are recorded, they are stored in the Exchange directory, so when Unity plays them back, it'll go back out and get them. Even if the subscriber's home message store is on Exchange server outside of Unity, Unity should search the directory of the local Exchange server.
Can you try to get the voice name to play (and get the delay) in other areas besides leaving a message? You could try a spell-by-name directory search or set the subscriber to have "greet-by-name" turned on and have them sign into their box.
This might help to see if the delay occurs when streaming the name all the time.
