I'm running a MGCP Gateway on a VG-200 with POTS lines interfaces, when an outside user calls in they hear two rings before the CCM rings the internal network, I need to resolve this issue, can anyone help me?
I would hazard a guess that you're waiting for caller-ID information before setting up the inside call. On POTS lines, caller-ID is delivered between the first and second rings. I'm not sure if it's possible to eliminate the delay other than by disabling caller-ID functionality.
Since CallerID/MGCP/FXO does not work anyways, they could disable it and not know the diffrerence.
