Is there any way to synchronize the rings? We have an open area in an office with several phones, and most of those phones have shared line appearances. The problem is that each phone begins ringing at a different time on incoming calls - up to several seconds apart. This is confusing the users, since they can hear the phone ring at another extension before their phone rings or they are able to pick it up.
In your scenario, if phones A and B share a line, you are saying that it's actually taking a noticeable amount of time from the time phone A starts ringing until the time phone B starts to ring, then I am thinking there could be some kind of network or server issue.
What kind of connectivity do you have between the phones and the CallManager, check the CPU on the CallManager server that the phones are registered to, also what version are you running on the server. And if you are using a cluster, are all phones sharing a line registered to the same CallManager server?
