This is a well-known issue with some phone loads, specifically the one that ships with CallManager 3.2(2c). The defective load is P00303020204. You can check the load you're using by touching Settings, 5 and then 3. You can pick up new phone loads from here:
For CallManager 3.2, I would recommend you use the 3.2(5) load, which will install load P00303020214. This has the least number of annoying bugs that I know of. Both of the newer ones have some seriously annoying bugs. 3.2(6)/P00303020215 spontaneously reboots if you hit Dial on a directory entry without an associated number, and 3.2(7)/P00303020700 has problems with dropping rapidly entered digits.
If you do not have CallManager 3.2, select the latest set of device loads that are compatible with your version of CallManager.
