In the CCM 4.1x, I noticed that route list needs to define ccm group and registered to ccm. Anybody knows what the point to have RL to use CCM group and register it. As we know GWs under the GR/RL has CCM group(device pool)already. Any benefit?

Hi
Well the reason why that was added was to have the redundancy for call processing. You can influence which CM will handle the call processing which was not possible prior to 4.x. Customers just wanted that flexibility rather than not having that choice.
Keep in mind the same reasoning will apply for having a DP assigned to a device. Customers want control over which CM controlls the processing for that DN.

Thanks. But I still think it's not necessary. Prior to 4, the gateways under the RG/RL already have device pool which provides the redundancy already. If one call manager fail within the device pool for GW, CCM will use the other ccm to process the call.
What's the big difference it brings?
Thanks
