Hello group!

I am trying to push a Message and a streaming audio to the IP Phone.While it displays the messae as a result of the push but it doesnot plays the audio stream as expected.

I am using RTPRx as an URI for the second ExecuteItem parameter.

My Execute object is like this

<CiscoIPPhoneExecute>

<ExecuteItem URL="http://ip/cisco/service.xml"/>

<ExecuteItem URL="RTPRx:ip/Cisco/Pop.raw"/>

</CiscoIPPhoneExecute>

I am just trying to play a ring tone from the server.

and the response object i am getting is as follows

<CiscoIPPhoneResponse>

<ResponseItem Status="0" Data="" URL="http://ip/cisco/service.xml" /> <ResponseItem Status="0" Data="24612" URL="RTPRx:ip/Cisco/Pop.raw" />

<ResponseItem Status="0" Data="" URL="" />

</CiscoIPPhoneResponse>

So it is trying to execute the audio file as well.

The phone behaviour is very odd.

The Mute button as well the Speaker button glows.and the right bottom corner of the IP Phones displaypane shows an icon which corresponds to the receiving an stream.

But the phone doesnot play any audio.

Can anyone tell me where it is going wrong.

Is my way of sending the streaming audio wrong?

What exactly the format for a streaming audio should be?

if someone can clarify my doubts it will be of great help.

Thanks

Shyamal

Do you have an application streaming your files? The phone is acting correctly, it's in recieve mode waiting for the rtp audio stream, but it seems like you may not have a streaming server running, that will stream the files to the phone.

Hi! Tim,

Can you tell me what streaming server is. I don't know about this.IIS cannot do the streaming job?

How can i get a streaming server?

Do i have to do any configuration on that.

Please let me know

Thanks again

Shyamal

Hi!

IIS cannot.

For example, we offer light RTP streaming solution especially for work with Cisco IP Phones.

It allows to send and receive sound files.
