Anybody have any success running the apps from the SDK on the new 41/61 or 7970 with the higher resolution and having it look good? Such as calendar, photodirectory, etc. Do I have to use PNG instead of CIP? Will there be a new CIP coverter for the higher resoltuion?
Personally, I think CIP is dead. The 79x0 series is being phased out and the 79x1 series can handle CiscoIPPhoneXYZImage, where you can use PNGs. So use CiscoIPPhoneImageFile, CiscoIPPhoneGraphicFileMenu, CiscoIPPhoneIconFileMenu and CiscoIPPhoneStatusFile for the 79x1 seris and the 7970.
What I find really curious is that in the 4.1.3 application guide table 2.2 that lists the phone's resolutions is a) outdated (no 79x1 series), and b) placed in a section that seems to indicate older phones can handle the CiscIPPhoneImageFile as well, which unfortunately isn't the case.
