Second dial-tone

What configuration change should be done in AS5400 to issue a second dial-tone to the caller ?

Re: Second dial-tone

You might want to give more information about your topology. Is the AS5400 a gateway? What hardware do you have installed? Do you have IP phones? A Call Manager?

Re: Second dial-tone

Hi,

AS5400 is a gateway. I have one non-geographical number (0800). This terminates in our gateway. In the dial-peer it is matching with the dial-peer with the destination pattern 0800T. As soon as it is matching, It is sending off the numbers.

So precisely incoming is pots and outgoing is Voip

This is my dial-peer setting

dial-peer voice 4 voip

incoming called-number .

destination-pattern 08400200050T

session target ipv4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

!

dial-peer voice 5 pots

incoming called-number .

shutdown

destination-pattern 98T

port 6/4:D

How should i make it to accept the destination number from the user ? As an experiment I have given a translation rule as following

rule 1 08000200050 00442074014223

And when I implement this translation rule, It works. But in this case, I have to hardcode the number. How do i make it wait (or issue a second dial-tone) to collect more digits from the user ?

Thanks in advance

Kiran
