Has 12 voice channels enabled. Most of the CPU is Interrupts (Process switching).When all 12 channels are active, CPU touches 50%, when voice call reduces to 3, CPU reduces to 20%. I need to understand whether the CPU increase is for all calls or for encrypted calls, etc
My problem now is to upgrade the router for another 18 voice channels, and I told the customer it is not possible since already
CPU is touching 50% for 12 voice calls and it will be risky to upgrade the voice channels. Customer is asking me for justification.
High CPU utilization on an interrupt level is primarily caused by packets handled on interrupt level. Interrupts are generated any time a character is output from the console or auxiliary ports of a router.
