Securing Hardkeys like the Directory or Services Key

Is there a way to secure the hardkeys on the 7960? Either by locking it out completely or by presenting a authentication page. For example, if we wanted some users to be able to access Services and others not.

Thanks

In CallManager administration, choose Enterprise Parameters from the System menu.

Near the bottom of the page there should be a section titled "Phone URL Parameters". This defines the URLs called by the phone when the user selects a specific key, such as the Services key.

You could change the URLs presented to go to your own URLs, which might either display a message to the user indicating that this service is not available or otherwise authenticate them.

You can also over-ride these settings in the device settings page for the phone. This way, you could universally either allow or deny access to one or more of these keys, and override this universal setting on a subset of the phones.

Thats one idea...

Thanks. That was what I had in mind.

Does anyone have a script that I can use for authentication?
