We're trying to find a backup solution for ALL our servers. Previously we've been using ArcServe with not so good results, one of which is that CallManager does not support it. Is there something out there that will? The rest of the gang has been looking into Syncsort as a possible solution, we were just wondering if that will work as a means of backing up the CallManager and Unity servers.
Thanks for the info!!

What kind of problems were you having with ArcServe?
What are you trying to backup?
You really only need to backup your CCM Publisher and Aplication servers (Unity, CRA).
We use Ultraback and the Cisco IP Telephony Applciations Backup and they both work just fine. The Cisco IPT Backup tool backs up the CCM Software data and SQL tables to either a local share or network share. Then Ultraback backs up the CCM Backup file, and archives to tape.

Cisco does not support any other backup software installed "locally" on CallManager. Utilizy, the Cisco IPT Backup tool to back up to a network share that is in turn backed up by your backup software. I believe you are trying to install ArcServe software on CM which is a no, no. The Cisco IPT Backup toll backs up LDAP, SQL, and IIS info into one file (a .sti file). That is all that is needed to backup CM.
