That post was for changing the password on the account you installed Unity with... not for changing the password on the Exchange Installation account. I'm betting Exchange isn't coming up, right? Can you give us any more details other than "it's not coming up"? Is Exchange running? Can you look in the event log and see what errors are being logged during the Unity startup sequence?

yes,
exchange server is not running - in exchange admin I cannot get to the unity exchange server.
in event viewer I'm getting :
DCOM - dependency service failed to start, attempts to start the AVCSgateway
exchange MTA depends upon exchange directory failed to start.
please advise

Yeah, Exchange is going to get real unhappy if you change the service account password out from under it. This doesn't have anything to do with Unity. You need to head out to MSDN for help... here's a couple of links to get you started:
