Set -3 db within registry

Unity 2.4.6. <br>We are having issues with vm distortion. I used the wave gain to alter the levels and realized I need to change the record to -3. How do I enter -3 in the registry since it will not take the "-" sign?<br><br>

You gotta do a little hex math... it'd be nice if the little utility did it for you, but hey. I don't have source code for it so I can do much with it.
