Siemens Expressions

A customer wants to migrate from Siemens Expressions to Unity. I am told by the customer that Expressions is integrated with their MS Exchange environment already and that it is in fact Unity underneath. Is this true and what issues would there be with integrating Unity in this environment? Unity will be working with CM as the switch but the Siemens PBX will still be used at the main office.

While it's true that Siemens built on top of a Unity engine, it's not really Unity... they customized pretty heavily. The basic database work and conversation engines etc... are Unity, however.

There is no upgrade path from Xpressions to Unity. You have to Uninstall Xpressions and install Unity. We (being both the Unity folks and the Xpressions folks) also don't support having a Unity box and an Xpressions box on the same Exchange site. I really wouldn't reccomend trying to co-mingle them if you can help it.
