signalling looping

Hi all,

There is a problem in calling to IPphone that is busy. I hear ringing instead of busy. I checked a signalling and here are the results:

IPphone <---> AS5300 <---> PBX

PBX sends SETUP, AS5300 finds an appropriate dial-peer and relays it to IPphone.

because IPphone is busy it sends RELEASE to AS5300.

Having received RELEASE AS5300 tries to find another dial-peer (and there is default one .T pots) and sends SETUP back to PBX.

PBX relays SETUP to AS5300, AS5300 relays it to IP phone, IPphone gives RELEASE and so on...

funny enough

How to force AS5300 not to look for another dial-peer and give busy tone upon receiving a RELEASE from IPphone???

Thanks,

Mike

Re: signalling looping

Mike,

you need to set up your other dial peers to be more specific.

Instead of the .T dial peer can you not make a number of dial peers that cover the range of numbers that should be sent to the PBX.

Or you could set up call manger to prefix all calls to the pbx with a number (any you like) that the AS5300 can match in a dial peer and send to the PBX. Then get rid of the catch all. That way you know exactly how it's going to route the call.
