SIP ATA

Hi,

I have problems authenticating a SIP ATA to a foreign SIP Proxy.

When sending the Register message, the ATA inserts the tag "user=phone" into the from field. It seems that this string forces the Proxy in using only the tel part of the uri (12345)instead of the full sip uri (12345@domain.com)as the registering user to authenticate. Then the Proxy fails with a "user unknown" message.

Searching into the SIP ATA Administration Guide, I didn't find any parameters in order to remove the "user=phone" string.

Could someone help me?

Try disabling Reliable Provisional Responses on the Remote User Agent
