SIP image on 7960 phone

I have some 7960 phones which use to work

with our SIP proxy server. A Call Manager is

on the same network. After upgrading the Call

Manager to version 3.1(2c) I notice that new

skinny phones which I wish to convert to SIP

no longer work.

On my SIP server I see the tftp load request

but I never see entries in the access_log or

error_log. Debugging flags for the various modules

are turned on and I use to see load messages in

these files. I can't figure out what happened.

The proxy seems fine.

What I have noticed is that the 7960 skinney

phones now have version information in their

firmware status menu where the previously

working phones did not.

I am not yet using the new version 3 SIP load

because I wanted to get the system working

before doing the upgrade. I am using POS30201

load.

Can anyone explain what might be different?

It seems to be related to the phone getting an initial load from the v3.1(2c) call manager.

The problem happens if I move the phone to a

subnet without a call manager too.
