SIP incoming calls

Hello,

I'm trying to use my voice gateway with a SIP provider but the VG is not able to receive inbound call. SIP Outbound calls work fine.

I have an AS5400 gateway with 12.3(11)T10 IOS image.

Below the sip-ua configuration:

sip-ua

authentication username USER password PASSW realm SIP-DOMAIN

calling-info pstn-to-sip from number set NUMBER

registrar dns:SIP-SERVER:5061 expires 3600

sip-server dns:SIP-SERVER:5061

then below the incoming dial-peer configuration:

dial-peer voice 5 pots

application session

destination-pattern NUMBER

port 1/2:D (the E1 voice port)

authentication username USER password PASSW realm SIP-DOMAIN

The CCSIP messages and events debugs are activated but I see only messages when trying to make outbound call.

Furthermore, the "sh sip-ua register status" shows nothing.

May someone help me?

Thanks in advance

Daniele

Re: SIP incoming calls

Hello, I have a cisco 2651 with ccme 3.3 and I want to route my external calls PSTN through my SIP provider.

parameters form provider are:

sip.provider.com

login and password port 5060

I have configured this in the sip-ua but I have problems.

All of the IP phones I have behond the router try to authenticate.

I only want 1 authentication from the router

Then i need to tell the internal extensions when they have to go to the PSTN via the SIP provider.

Please can you help me? Is there any example?

Re: SIP incoming calls

Hello,

to avoid the registration of the ephone-dn on the sip provider try to put the no-reg option at the end of the number configuration line:

ephone-dn

number 123 no-reg

...

To send the call to the sip provider, try to create a dial-peer voice like this below:

dial-peer voice 1000 voip

session protocol sipv2

session target sip-server

destination-pattern XXXX

codec XXXX

To configure the sip-ua you might use the configuration that I wrote in my first message. You must change my "SIP-SERVER" with your "sip.provider.com:5060" and "SIP-DOMAIN" with "sip.provider.com", it should work.

I hope it helps you.

Re: SIP incoming calls

Thank you very much.

But, I want to route all the calls different to internals ( in my case the internal extensions are 200,201,202...) to the SIP provider.

In Spain the fixed telephone numbers start by 9........ so In the dial-peer if I put destination-pattern 9........? It will redirect all numbers like that to the SIP provider?

I'd like to have a number like 0 or 9 to dial before a user want to do a external call like in the analog pbx. How can I do it?

thanks

Re: SIP incoming calls

am trying it but i'm very upset because I cannot get it.

I have configured the sip-ua but the only things that are trying to register in the SIP proxy are the IP phones.

I don't want that I want only register one time with the account I have configured in the authentication and then route calls with pattern 9........ to the sip provider

Please I need help

This is my configuration:

dial-peer voice 100 voip

destination-pattern 9........

The logs I receive in the SIP proxy when I try to call to an external number like 964525351 are:

I am very frustrated so your help will be great.

Re: SIP incoming calls

To access the SIP provider using an "external line" dial number you could try to modify the dial-peer 100 with

des-patt 0.......

When using the destination-pattern the first digit is stripped out so in your example the 9 is stripped out and only the rest of the digits are forwarded to the sip provider. In this case the 0 will be stripped out and the 9xxxx should be forwarded to the provider.

In the sip-ua configuration try to append at the username/password line the realm option, when I made my lab it was mandatory to let the authentication work.

About the ephone-dn I made my lab without using the CCME so I supposed that the no-reg option, used to avoid the registration on a h323 gatekeeper, works also for the sip.
