SIP phone back to Skinny

I configured call manager to load a sip image onto a phone with skinny. Now I want to move the phone back from SIP to Skinny.

The documentation says to edit the OS79XX.txt file to contain the name of the SEP (skinny) phone load.

I did that and reset the phone, but the phone doesn't load skinny. It remains a sip phone.

I never provisioned the sip phone using a sip server. The status messages on the phone say that there was a tftp timeout error trying to load the *.cnf files it needs.

Finally, any old phone that is running skinny loads the sip image if it is reset. I have tried removing the sip files, but the skinny phones are still getting the sip load, though I do not know from where since they are not in the tftp path.

Any help?
