SIP registration

Hi,

I have set a connection up with a SIP provider but the connection is not working. My provider says that he can see that I amb correctly authenticated but that my IP telephons (CISCO 7940) are trying to register in his platform.

My config is the following:

sip-ua

authentication username xxx password xxx

retry register 10

registrar ipv4:xxxxxx expires

3600 secondary

dial-peer voice 2000 voip

description CONEXION SIP

destination-pattern 8T

monitor probe icmp-ping

session protocol sipv2

session target ipv4:xxxx

dtmf-relay rtp-nte

And some of the error messages that I can see are the following:

Sep 18 14:26:01.698: //-1/000000000000/SIP/Error/sipSPIHandleAuthChallenge: 401/407 response missing Authenticate header

Does anyone know why is it happening?

Thanks a lot!

Re: SIP registration

Hi,

"My provider says that he can see that I amb correctly authenticated"

Could you please give a better description of the topology, normally we only attempt to register e.164 address in dial-peers POTS.

What did they provide you to authenticate?

username

password

and auth username (digest auth)

Let us know.

Are you using CCME?

You may try no-reg command under ephone-dn

Re: SIP registration

Have you fixed the problem? I have the same problem.

DO you have any sample configuration? Could you show me an example?

Best regards

Re: SIP registration

You can remove the registrar command and prevent the phones from registering with the proxy.
