Sip Trunk

I have a cisco 7960 sip phone. I would like to use the sip phone with call manager CCM4.1.2. When i try to registered 7960 with CCM, its not registering, Seems to me CCM will not support sip phone may be i am wrong.

To use the sip phone with ccm what should i do?

I think you have to use SIP proxy server.

You must obtain Csico SIP proxy server from Cisco.

I'm not sure about non-cisco SIP proxy servers.

It might be easier to convert SIP phone back to SCCP (native CCM protocol) instead of getting SIP proxy.
