Sizing a backup file

Is there any way to calculate the expected size of an STI backup file whch will be located on a network share ?

Try this document. Might answer your query. In my opinion, you must watch the trend over a period of time and take a decision.

I agree you need to watch it, but can you give some idea of how many phones and what about CDR's. Call Detail Records can grow dramatically and if you don't watch it you can get into trouble. As a guideline, I have a customer with ~200 phones and their backup file is 150mb (no CDR's). Then I have a customer (with CDR's) with about 300 phones that's close to 600mb.

Hi Rick,

150 users with CDR's, so I assume the backup STI file will be comfortably under 1Gb in the medium term (18 months or so).
