Slips errors in a Q.SIG connection

Hello,

I have a connection between a PBX MD110 and a Cisco router C2851 running MGCP. I have Slips errors all the time, counter is increasing every few seconds. Calls are working well but I have a lot of errors. The MD110 is configured to supply the clock and this is the config in the router:

controller E1 0/0/0

clock source line primary

pri-group timeslots 1-31 service mgcp

I configured the ‘clock source line primary’ in one of them but both QSiGs have the same Slip errors:

E1 0/0/0 is up.

Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced

No alarms detected.

alarm-trigger is not set

Version info Firmware: 20050620, FPGA: 16, spm_count = 0

Framing is CRC4, Line Code is HDB3, Clock Source is Line Primary.

CRC Threshold is 320. Reported from firmware is 320.

Data in current interval (422 seconds elapsed):

48 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins

hi ruben,

if the pbx is configured to provide clocking then if you set the e1 controller to " clock source line primary" then the behaviour is expected. please set the cntroller clock sourec "line" so the router derives clock source from the pbx. let me know if this help.

Hello,

I have two Q.SIG connections: one is "clock source line primary" and the other "clock source line" and both of them have the slips errors!

Is this a normal behaviour? I have also tried with the two connections working as "clock source line" with the same result...

Any idea?
