I am configuring a IP Telephony system for a little company that needs about 30 phones and a PRI E1 connection to the PSTN.
To keep the price as low as possible I would like to use mostly Cisco Ip Phones 7905 (15 units), 7910 (12 units) and ATA (10 units) to reuse existing DECT/GAP mobile phones. For the same reason I would like to use a SRST solution based on Cisco2600XM.
Could you please confirm me that this solution is suitable for the required number of phones, and give me the code of the E1 interface I have to install in the router and the code of the license to activate SRST on the router?
You CANNOT use SRST as a call manager for any install. SRST is ONLY for disaster recovery at remote sites when call manager is not available. The phones must register with call manager before failing over to SRST. If you want a small office solution, take a look at IOS Telephony Services, but my understanding is it won't be available until summer, but talk to your local CAM.
Otherwise you will have to use a call manager setup, check out the ICS 7750.

the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
