In addition to the file copy operations, the installer does other things, like call the TSP installer, make registry entries/changes, register DLLs, etc. The installer would have to be recompiled into MSI format. As far as I know, there are no plans to do this. If you have a business case for it, please bring it to your Cisco account team, and they can engage the proper folks to get the request on the roadmap.
