Currently, I'm implementing adhoc software conferencing for a maximum of five parties on my network. It works pretty well apart from the fact that other parties on the call say that the voice of the conference controller sounds 'clipped' or 'garbled'. Is there a reason for this? Does the phone of the conference manager have to do additional work or is everything handled totally by the Call Manager?
While Call Manager may take care of the admin side of the call setup, there will still have the same number of aggregate bandwidth requirements to the conference controller and this may be causing problems. Try the Meet-Me method and compare results.
