Greetings, I am looking for a SOHO VOIP solution to replace the 4224 solution. It should have Call MAnager and Unity in the same box. Can any recommend how to configure the new 3700's to make this go.
Should we be converting to SIP?

Both the Callmanager and Unity run on Windows servers and do not run on the 4224 switch or the 3700. So you should be able to configure your SOHO VOIP on the 3700 with no problems. If you are getting rid of the switch you may need to replace it with one to connect to the 3700.

If your using the 3700 series, then you can use the 16 port or 36 port inline power network module switches. They are a little cheaper than a 3550, depending on your discount.

SIP is not necessary, you can use IOS Telephony, depending on the number of users. IOS Telephony is not free, please contact your friendly neighborhood Cisco account manager.
If you need CM & Unity, then those run on other servers, but you can still use the ethernet switch network modules.
