Speaker Phone on 7905G

Many people from a customer claims about the 7905G speaker phone that works as monitor only. Isn't there a trick to configure the 7905G to be able to have the speaker on and the microphone of the handset in use (not in mute state), so that a few people around the 7905G can listen at a conversation together and still get answers to the remote phone (without pushing the button on and off all the time) ?

This functionnality works already for the 7940G and 7960G.

Why has the development doesn't do that ?

if you look at the sheet for the 7905G this is how it works, my only thought is that these phones are really to be used in areas like receptions etc, so the need for hands free functionality is not really needed. 7910's are also like this.

on the 7905 and 7910 they do not have speaker phone only on hook dialling

your cisco provider should have really told you this, if this is a functionality that you wanted.
