This is the example from srnd.

I know "3" in the srr-queue shape means 1/3 for priority queuing.

BUt what does "1" mean in the srr-queue share command? Is it not consistent with "3"? Thanks

CAT2970(config-if-range)# srr-queue bandwidth share 1 70 25 5

! Q2 gets 70% of remaining BW; Q3 gets 25% and Q4 gets 5%

CAT2970(config-if-range)# srr-queue bandwidth shape 3 0 0 0

! Q1 is limited to 1/3 of the total available BW

Hi,

The "1" in in the srr-queue share command means nothing. This is because the non-zero shaped mode weight overrides the shared mode weight for queue 1, and SRR services this queue in shaped mode. You could set this number to anything you like and it will not make any difference.

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

Regards,
