SRST and Extension mobility

Hello,

We have 2 sites and a cisco callmanager on 1 site. Our phones of the 2nd site are registered with the single callmanager. The site without the callmanager onsite only has 1 WAN link, no backup line in case of failure.

Now, we configured SRST in case of line break down. As we are also using extension mobility, I can't find any documentation how to configure extension mobility with srst.

Does anyone has an idea how to configure this or maybe to have a workaround.

Thanks

There is not much to configure in SRST. The phone will register with the SRST router using the directory number appearing on the phone at the moment of the WAN failure. So if the user was logged in, it will be using his extension. Login / logout wouldn't be possible until the WAN link is up again.

Hello Marina,

If the user was NOT logged in & WAN failure occur, what will happen ?

Will the phone get register or not ?

Hi Anis,

The IP phone will registere to local SRST router with default profile which was there in the ip phone at the time of failure. Of course the ip phone default profie should be configured for SRST.
