srst calls redirected to pstn

I have a customer that wants to have calls destined to an 800 number to be directed to an answering service during SRST. Currently, calls coming in for 800 service are sent to IPCC express application. Is there away to have a call come in and then go right back out the PRI. Sounds like some kind of hair pinning. Is this possible?

Re: srst calls redirected to pstn

the telco has this 800 number tied to a routeIndex which identifies the PRI(circuit) the number is routed down when a caller dials those digits.

if you lose access between your agents and the PRI, and SRST kicks in for the agents, you now have no dialPlan routing to your agents from the 800 number.

perhaps if you provide your topology we can see if there is come way of providing another call route to your agents from the PRI.

you may be able to use CCM translation patterns to turn incoming 800 number calls to numbers that call manager could route back out the PSTN to your answering service.

see this link for CCM translation pattern configuration:

if you had no other available call routes while in SRST mode, you could call the telco and ask them to do the routing for you.
