SRST configuration

I am configuring SRST for the first time. Do I want to put a DHCP scope on the local gateway? I am concerned that the PC's on the local network will get an address from the router and not the DHCP server on the remote side.

Re: SRST configuration

i run DHCP from the local server. As far as SRST it will not matter where they are getting the ip addressing from, unless you have an extremely short lease time. don't forget your option 150.

Re: SRST configuration

You can use either a local DHCP server at the remote site, or configure IOS DHCP server on the router. If you can use a separate vlan (voice vlan) for phones and separate vlan for PCs, you wont have this subnet overlap issue with DHCP.
