If you have a VIC card (Voice Interface Card) with BRI like VIC-BRI-S/T, you can do that. With that card, you can use voice ports of bri line to send the voice calls over it to PSTN. Pl. visit following url for that

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/products/2isdn_bri_vic.html

Regular isdn line card like WIc-BRI-U etc will not work for SRST mode as it will not generate the voice ports.

Once you have that card, you can visit the following url for config.

Thanks for your reply.

Locally SRST works as per the configuration below and in fact I can make external test calls via the isdn call test cmd. Oh! and the isdn card is S/T. The problem however is how to create a dial-peer which references the bri port for external calls.

Is there some other way?

Re: SRST - pstn access via isdn2

Looking on the config, BRI card dosen't have VOICE interface as its not a VIC card. Means the bri card will not generate voice-port which you can reference under the pots dial-peer. So you willnot be able to use bri line for outgoing voice calls.

Sure, data call using "isdn call test ......" command as its not a voice calls. It generate a data calls.
