Stop announce new voice messages in TUI

In a unity 3.1(4) system, my customer would like to speed up the process of getting new messages. The subscriber is set for brief menus and all of the announcement options are NOT checked. When checking messages, they press 1 for new messages and the system responds with "new messages" and then "voice messages" before starting playback. Is there any way to remove the "voice messages" prompt. The unity is voicemail only and all messages are voice. Again all announcement options are turned off.

Thanks

The prompt you are hearing "Voice Messages" can be found in C:\CommServer\Localize\Prompts\ENU\AvSubMsgStack\AvSubMsgStackENU032.wav

You can rename this prompt to AvSubMsgStackENU032.wav.bak and then copy in another wav file in place of it that just has a second of silence.

You can find a prompt with a second of silence in it in C:\CommServer\Localize\Prompts\ENU\AvSubMsgPlayENU\AvSubMsgPlayENU129.wav

Copy that prompt and place it in the C:\CommServer\Localize\Prompts\ENU\AvSubMsgStack directory, and rename it to AvSubMsgStackENU032.wav

If you do not copy in a prompt to replace the one you ranamed to .bak, callers will hear the failsafe conversation "Sorry this system is currently unavailable to take your call", so be sure to do that.

You should also note that in general it is not a good idea to go mucking with the prompts, because sometimes a speciffic .wav file is used in more than one part of the conversation, so while the change may work ok in one part of the conversation, it may not elsewhere.
