Our customer (~ 80 people, NT 4 and Exchange 5.5) wants to install Unity and have 10% of the subscribers have UM, and the remainder have VM only. He wants the VM only users to store their messages on Unity and the UM subscribers store their messages in the existing Exchange system.

How can I do this?

Thanks, again.

Sure you can do this.
You need to install Exchange on the Unity server. Create all your voice mail only users homed on that Exchange server and hide them in the address book so they don't show up in Outlook for the other users in the site. Then import the existing mail users that are homed on off box Exchange servers as subscribers and you're good to go.
