Subscriber installation problems

We have a new installation of callmanager. We had to start with 3.08 and then upgrade to 3.0(12). Then we went to 3.2(2c). The publisher install went fine. When we try to install the subscriber the same way applying all of the hotfixes and sql updates and callmanager patches, the installation fails when going from 3.0(12) to 3.2(2c). Do we have to upgrade the publisher and subscriber at the same time. If anyone has experienced this, we would appreciate any info.

Re: Subscriber installation problems

Install the publisher first and once complete, then the subscriber.

Make sure that both servers can communicate with each other, and that you can ping the publisher before beginning the installation of the subscriber.

This seemed to work okay for me, albeit when installing 3.1(3a).

Re: Subscriber installation problems

If you install the subscriber after the publisher upgrade, you need to make sure the host file on both servers are configured. Pls refer to the following url.

I mean both servers must be able to ping each one via the hostname. Once that is achieved, then you start to perform the subscriber call manager software installation.
