Supporting Digital modems via a dial-peer?

We would like to add a NM-6DM to a 3600 series router that is our primary voice gateway, PRI connected, and direct incomming calls to the modem bank based on the called number.

We have used the NM-6DM at another site that had a dedicated PRI for dial-up, but for our smaller offices would it be possible to leverage the same circuit as our voice traffic?

Re: Supporting Digital modems via a dial-peer?

Unfortuneately you can't do this - at the moment the Voice DSP's can't support modem calls and there is no way to switch the PCM from the voice interface to the internal Digital modem bank.

You would need a seperate PRI for the modems if you use the 36XX platform. The AS53XX and AS5400 can handle voice/modem/fax and data calls on the same PRI.
