Switch congestion error (2A)

Hi,

I got a Cisco AS5300 for VoIP.

I sometimes get Switch Congestion errors (2A) without having lack of ports at that moment. I have 2 E1's connected to it (60 lines) and sometinmes get that error, despite the fact that half or more of the ports are free.

What's the reason for that error??

Thanks in advanced,

Juan

Hi Juan,

router#sh call his voice last 25 | incl DisconnectText

router#sh call resour voice stat

using the above two commands you can analyze. Probably I think you have congestion as 2A error represents that only. Compare and see both the outputs line by line. Also you had shutdown two E1 ports, I the above two commands you will see the output for all the 4 ports and the percentage that you will see was for all the 4 ports check the channels is for 60 or for 120 ports. This will give you an idea of the congestion on the ports

Hope this helps
