I have a setup that previously used "switchport protected" on a 3550 to prevent direct communications between PCs. We've since added Cisco 7940 phones and have found that switchport protected does its job too well and prevents our IP phones from communicating directly.
Has anyone discovered a way to prevent two hosts that are directly attached to IP Phones from communicating with other other while still allowing the IP Phones to directly communicate? Could this been done with PVLANs on a 3550?
